Take UI Ride to Chicago

UI Ride (https://www.uillinois.edu/uiride) is an intercampus shuttle service connecting Champaign-Urbana and Chicago to provide an affordable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation for university employees and students. The 18-seat passenger vans make morning and evening stops on the Urbana and Chicago campuses Monday–Friday, including arrivals and departures at the Discovery Partners Institute and UI Health.

Faculty and staff can also make reservations for accompanying guests; students must have their travel preapproved by an associated department for academic or research purposes. Rates are $25 or $30 one-way, and the shuttles feature the following amenities:

• Wi-Fi and AC power outlets
• Reserved seating
• Restroom
• Storage for one carry-on bag per person (not to exceed 18 x 14 x 12 inches)
• Reading lights and tray tables
• A four-person workstation for meetings (reservation required)
• Complimentary water and light snacks
• Dressing room area
• Two wheelchair-accessible seats (lift-equipped shuttle)
